Resolution 5: Attend an Atlanta Spring Festival

Yet another of Tripp's resolutions was knocked off the list recently as we attended a few of Atlanta's famous festivals.  We first attended the Sweetwater 420 Festival in Candler Park.  Here, we saw Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band and the Mickey Hart Band, featuring Mickey Hart from the Grateful Dead & Dave Schools of Widespread Panic fame.  We also ran into lots of old friends, who were delighted to meet Tripp, some of them for the first time.

The following weekend, we ventured to Inman Park for their annual festival.  This festival featured some lesser known bands, but we really were there for the people watching this time.  ... and it did not disappoint.  Lots of interesting tattoos and creatively dressed folks...

It is so nice that Atlanta has so many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and good music in the spring.  It is something we look forward to every year, and Tripp seems to appreciate the change of scenery and pace.  All of these festivals are free, giving everyone an opportunity to participate.  Fun stuff!
