Waterlogged, Again

Mom of the year here, who forgot that it was "water play" day and did not send a swim suit with Tripp to school.

He ended up like this:

Soaked to the bone.  Oops.

Father's Day Weekend at the Lake

For Father's Day this year, we spent the weekend at the lake.  We were surrounded by family and friends and enjoyed lots of sunshine.  Tripp got to see fish, turtles, dogs, birds, and lots and lots of boats.

Matt played golf on Saturday in my family's annual golf tourney, the HJ Classic.  This year, he must have had  a good day because he WON the entire thing!  Yep, he was the champion of the whole tourney.  Not a bad way to spend Father's Day... Exciting stuff.

Here are a few photos from Tripp's first boat ride on a beautiful summer night on Lake Logan Martin in Pell City, Alabama.

Friday sunset cruise to start the weekend off right.

LOVIN' his first boat ride.

Can't beat the Lake Life

Hope all of you had a great Father's day!

Waterlogged Cousins

Recently, we spent some time with Tripp's cousins, Ann Fulton (2.5 yrs), Walker & Hamp (7 months) and their parents, Aunt Mary Catherine and Uncle Gil.

We had a ball playing in the water, with the hose, and with the bubbles.  Below are some photos snapped during our afternoon of fun in the sun.

Haircut Time

Tripp's had about 6 haircuts in his life, 3 of which were by his (non-talented) mom and the others at Angel Hair in Birmingham, compliments of Shug.  Below are some photos I captured from the most recent hair cutting journey.

Why is this taking so long, Mama?

Happy Monday!

Memorial Day Weekend with Dos Eppies

Summer is here!  To celebrate the beginning of summer, we took a road trip down to the Isle of Palms near Charleston, SC, to visit the "Dos Eppies," twin 7 month old daughters of Tripp's god father, Chris Epps, and his wife, Sarah.  We had such a ball on the island, visiting with the Epps clan and enjoying the outdoors.  The weather was perfect (highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s) and not a drop of rain and very few clouds in the sky.  Below are some fun photos from our time there --- jam packed with fun activities!

A visit to the Isle Of Palms Fire Dept, which was so much fun.  The brave firemen let Tripp climb all over all of their equipment --- fire trucks, rescue boats, four-wheelers, and more!  He had a ball, and even got to "drive" one of the trucks.  What fun!
The happiest boy in IOP

Chillin' in the golf cart (another big hit) with Daddy and Uncle Chris.

A close-up of this happy beach boy.

A visit to the marina to check out all the big boats.  It was a beautiful day, so we got to watch many boats launch on the ramp and float off into what was surely a fabulous day on the water!

Pointing at one of the many boats that launched.
Checking out the local playground with Uncle Chris and Daddy.
Riding "Buzz" at the park

Hangin' with Uncle Chris in his new "Isle of Palms Marina" hat (since we left his "Buzz" hat at home...)

Wrapped up, getting warm after a dip in the chilly, but refreshing Atlantic Ocean water.

One final photo with the Dos Eppies!
We had a really great time with this crew and are already looking forward to seeing them again!  Cheers to a great Summer!
