Birth-iversary in California

Matt and I were married on my birthday, so we get to celebrate doubly every year when March 1 rolls around.  This year, our parents tag-teamed caring for Tripp while I tagged along with Matt to his new home-away-from-home in California for our annual celebration.

We first spent a day in San Francisco, riding street cars and such.  Next, we embarked upon a fantastic jaunt down the coast to Half Moon Bay.  We spent the next two days hopping from one vineyard to the next in wine country and visiting with some of Matt's co-workers for a fabulous meal.  We spent our final day as uber-tourists back in San Francisco before taking the loooooong flight back to the South.  Below are some snapshots from our fun adventure.

In the interest of keeping it brief, I left out our time in Haight-Ashbury searching for the perfect tie-dye onesie for Tripp (I kid...) and the "Dead House," shopping under the influence in China Town for pashminas and other unnecessary items, the $2 Fat Tire drafts at a random bar we found, and the amazing Thai food in Little Italy.  All in all, it was a fun trip full of memories that we'll not soon forget.  It was comforting knowing that Tripp was in good hands with his loving grandparents!

Hope everyone had a good weekend!  We were at the beach for Matt's brother Daniel's wedding.  Stay tuned on a post soon about the fun & beautiful weekend in Destin, Florida!
